Key products of Teplocom Holding

Teplocom Holding is one of the largest Russian instrumentation industry production and sales associations working in energy saving field. Companies of the Holding develop and produce equipment for energy accounting and energy saving as well as implement technical solutions and integrated energy saving programs on its basis on city and regional municipality scale. Products output in 2009 was 120,000 equipment units. The share of the Holding at domestic energy resources market exceeds 30%.

Equipment manufactured by companies of the Holding is used in heat and power industry, housing and public utility sector, general industry, at public and social objects as well as in other areas. Currently Teplocom delivers to its clients full scale of instruments required for heat energy and gas metering as well as for automation of heat production, distribution and consumption processes.

Heat amount calculation units

VKT-5. Development of VKT-5 was a result of Teplocom specialists activities oriented towards combining heat consumption metering and regulation functions in a single device. Appearance of VKT-5 was the turning point for the company and production facilities and was followed by appearance of other new products based on design and circuit technology solutions of VKT-5.

Fundamental difference of VKT-5 is the possibility to configure measuring inputs according to customer's request, which allows using heat meter in any water and steam heat supply and heat consumption systems. Besides, another feature of VKT-5 is channeling: the device can process up to 8 current signals from flow or pressure sensors, up to 8 frequency signals from flow sensor and up to 8 signals from temperature transducers simultaneously.

RS-232 interface installed by default allows connection of PC, modem, printer, panels for archive reading and transferring them to computer. RS-485 interface installed optionally allows connection of devices to a single network when connected to computer or modem.

VKT-5 allows automatic weather regulation of buildings heat consumption along with heat energy accounting. The device maintains specified indoor temperature and, when necessary, changes heat consumption level throughout the day according to predetermined weekly program. It allows reduction of heat consumption by 20-30% at minimal costs. Possibility of weather regulation is provided by special output signals to control mechanisms. They can be installed in two heat consumption systems and work under several control algorithms at option.

Archiving depth for hourly and daily heat medium parameters is 45 days minimum. Due to storage units developed and produced by Teplocom Company, fast archive reading is ensured; archives are transferred to dispatcher's computer via modem. Remote data collection process, aimed at dispatching control, dynamic response for contingency situations and drawing reports is realized with the help of Cleaver Monitoring Energy software.

Development of combined heat consumption metering and regulation system with the use of VKT-5 was awarded with diploma of Saint Petersburg Energy Saving Competition.

VKT-7. VKT-7 calculation unit is intended for accounting, registration and remote monitoring of heat energy and heat medium parameters.

Main feature of VK-7 is the energy independence. VKT-7 allows maintaining heat energy accounting in two closed and open water heat supply systems and/or hot water systems - in this way the solution "two heat meters in single frame" is realized in this device. Multitasking functionality, service inputs and outputs, long operational life of the power source extend the application area of the device. Using RS-232 or RS-485 interface the information is transmitted to indicator and external devices.

Along with use of VKT-7 for energy accounting at housing and public utilities sector objects, as planned by its developers, it was noted that VKT-7 is getting more popular for collecting information about heat consumption, hot and cold water at single-apartment level.

Heat meters

TSK5. TSK5 heat meter was developed based on VKT-5

TSK5 heat meter consists of the following functional modules:

  • VKT-5;
  • Up to eight resistive temperature transducers with nominal resistance 50, 100 or 500 Ohm;
  • Up eight transducers with pulse and count signal with frequency up to 1,000 Hz;
  • Up to eight pressure transducers with (0-5), (0-20) or (4-20) m DC output signal, including up to four differential pressure sensors based on standard diaphragm with output current signal in (0-5), (0-20) or (4-20) m ranges.

TSK5 is most efficient for heat energy and heat medium metering stations at large and middle-sized industrial and other objects as well as TPP heat sources, boiler houses, central heating stations and other objects.

TSK7. Heat meters TSK7 are intended for metering, registration and remote monitoring of heat consumption monitoring and heating medium parameters in two closed and open water heat supply systems:

TSK7 consists of the following functional modules:

  • VKT-7;
  • Up to six water volumetric flow transducers;
  • Up to five temperature transducers;
  • Up to five excess pressure transducers with output signal 4-20 m.

Heat meters TSK-7 are optimal for use at public, housing and utilities sector objects: schools, residential houses, nurseries and medical institutions, central heating stations and boiler-houses. Among main advantages of TSK5 and TSK7 is the possibility to include to heat meter structure up to 30 primary transducers with different operating principle.

Electromagnetic flow transducer PREM is the device with extended capabilities ensuring transduction of volumetric flow and volume of liquid medium flowing to any direction.

PREM is manufactured in three configurations with different dynamic ranges in forward and backward direction. Count and pulse outputs have several modes: reversing, accounting for flow direction, comparator, indicator of measuring error. One of the main advantages of PREM as compared to analogues is the possibility of reversing stream parameters measurement. Pulse weight is fixed, set by manufacturer when device is ordered. Additionally current output or RS-485 interface can be installed into PREM, allowing connection of several devices to a single network. Price of PREM includes power supply module. Transducers are used at heat and power industry objects, industrial enterprises as well as in housing and public utility sector.

Gas amount calculation units

VKG-2. VKG-2 was developed based on design and circuit technology solutions of VKT-5 and it allows accounting of natural gas in three pipelines. Flow sensor with count and pulse output signal or differential pressure signal can be installed in each pipeline.

VKG-2 features include possibility of control of gas regulator actuating mechanism as well as "restricting" operation mode which is used with the purpose of maintaining gas flow rate not exceeding specified limit threshold value. "Registrator" function allows registration of parameters in specified time interval which is especially convenient during equipment setup.

VKG-2 calculation unit is recommended for use at JSC Gazprom objects, which evidences the highest degree of confidence in this measuring instrument.

VKG-3T. Gas amount calculation unit VKG-3T features conventional approach to building of a system; it includes standard measuring instruments. Based on calculation unit two systems can be built ensuring measurement of all gas parameters in two pipelines.

Service devices

NP-4A. In the course of heat, gas and other energy resources metering instruments measuring indications shall be read and recorded from time to time. Storage panels were developed for transferring measuring instruments archive data to remote computer. NP-4A measuring station is intended for downloading archive information from gas and heat energy calculation units manufactured by CJSC NPF Teplocom; NP-4A can be used with calculation units of other manufacturers as well.

BU-2. BU-2 module is intended both for power control of AC single-phase motors from low-power control signals, such as signals from VKT-5 heat calculation unit, and for eventual control of engine firing devices using signals of any standard logical level from low-power control signals. BU-2 along with VKT-5 is used for automatic heat consumption parameters regulation. Indoor air temperature, pressure and differential pressure, flow and hot water supply temperature. BU-2 ensures 2 operation modes: automatic (using low-power control signals from measuring instruments) and manual (using module keyboard).

SPECON Industrial Controllers

Teplocom company manufactures special-purpose controllers SPECON SK intended for automation of different heat power industry objects, such as burners, boilers, boiler houses, central and individual heating plants, heat generators, HVAC units as well as technological objects in other industry fields - flame furnaces, heaters etc.

After adding SPECON controllers to its product range, Teplocom Company started to deliver to its clients the full range of secondary devices required for automation of heat production, distribution and consumption processes. Proposed devices as well as Teplocom information and measuring systems and SPECON software and hardware complex allow building automated systems for commercial accounting of energy resources, automated heat supply management system of different degree of complexity based on hardware supplied by single manufacturer. SPECON - Registrator software is proposed for customer's convenience. The software allows simultaneous control of instant values of all measured parameters on computer's monitor.

SPECON controller family includes different configurations ensuring automatic control of different types of boilers working on different types of fuel with any burners, boiler houses, central heating plants, individual heating plants etc. Controllers have similar hardware configuration, build from identical modules and differ only in software which is oriented at corresponding control object.

Modifications for object groups were developed. For example, SPECON SK2-25 will ensure control of any single-burner boiler (steam or hot-water) with any burner firing gas, liquid fuel or combined burner. SPECON SK3-21, essentially being a multi-channel configurable regulator with built-in algorithm modules provides control of different objects: pump groups, deaerators, HVAC units.

Possibility to develop and implement technical solutions in the field of heat energy production, distribution and consumption control created optimal environment for Teplocom Holding operations within the framework of large-scale energy saving projects. Among implemented projects is the city-wide project on equipping all residential apartment buildings of Novocheboksarsk city (Republic of Chuvashia) with heat energy metering units with installation of dispatching control system.
